It may give non-technical founders a bit more insight into working styles when it comes to developers. If you’ve ever seen an athlete use a big word in a slightly wrong way, that’s how you sound when you use technical language and you don’t quite know what it means. I.e., they need a developer more than they need a CTO.

It’s no niche: video compression may seem a bit in the weeds to some, but there’s no doubt it’s become one of the most important processes of the modern internet. When you’re serving videos hundreds of millions of times (or to a million people at once), even fractions of a percent add up, let alone gains of this size.

Among the many considerations he helped us think through were the fact that we all need to recognize that you cant just build higher walls for Internet security. Nolte pointed out that there are now technically illiterate students and technologists with little worldliness. Computers need to alert humans when a threat arises.
