Reading the articles and the comments is probably worth it, but I personally think that the NY Times is overstating the advantage of being in Silicon Valley with a couple of exceptions.

It includes traffic! This is something that Ive wanted on my wifes GPS for a while. If you havent checked it out, its pretty amazing. My only minor complaint is that it doesnt have a menu option to disconnect the phone from the data connection.
