Changemanagement may be defined as a structured process that ensures that required changes are thoroughly and smoothly carried out, and that the long-term benefits of the change are realized.
What is the main purpose of changemanagement? In modern IT, changemanagement has many different guises. Projectmanagers view changemanagement as the process used to obtain approval for changes to the scope, timeline, or budget of a project. Sponsorship is critical.
As change becomes ubiquitous in the workplace, more organizations are developing internal changemanagement capability to help keep the pace. Where possible, leverage projectmanagement software to streamline admin work, and delegate the less critical tasks to your ca pable teams. (An An additional benefit of delegation is that it empowers your team to make decisions and grow themselves as well.) If you’re anything like me, delegation can be HARD!
