While walking up the stairs of that prestigious stage, I realized the immense responsibility I carried on my shoulders representing several women in tech who are walking their paths on their leadership journey while navigating their own complex inner worlds. But even being a finalist was an immense honor! Simply put: Everyone needs them.
It’s interesting to see leaders who take their servant leadership philosophy seriously at work, but have a more hovering approach when it comes to their children. The best way to learn leadership is by leading. As I was writing the Parent’s Guide to Leadership, I asked him what he remembers most about our work on leadership growing up.
However independent minded you are, others influence your leadership approach. Choose your leadership influences carefully. The most important influence on your leadership is the people all around you. Use the final section of this article to find one new person to provide positive leadership influence.
