I can’t even begin to count the number of times I watched people miss great opportunities due to a poor sense of timing. I’ve observed the risk adverse take duediligence one step too far, the greedy negotiate too long, the impulsive jump the gun, and the plodders move to slow.
Cities like Samarkand, Constantinople and Alexandria became gravitational hubs, attracting merchants, culture and commerce due to their strategic locations. Likewise, emerging technologies like 5G, AI-driven data orchestration and cloud-native architectures are redefining how enterprises manage data across multi-cloud environments.
However in reflecting upon my presentations and client engagements, I’ve noticed that it’s not an infrequent occurrence to find that even the most savvy executives misconstrue certain basic leadership ideas. Therefore, I’ve concluded it’s time to take a step back and review the fundamentals.
